It is not the strongest of the species that survives, nor the most intelligent, but the one most responsive to change. -- Charles Darwin

El Verano de Jeff y Brian

Both of my brothers are talented writers. I adore them and miss them dearly every day.

You can click here to read story that my brother, Jeff, wrote a few months back about his trip to Valencia, Spain.

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did.

Los dos viven afuera de los estados unidos como yo. Estas fotos sacaron en espana este verano. Ojala que el proximo verano puedamos juntarnos en colombia donde vive brian.

Les extrano mucho.

Koh Samet, Thailand

In August, Ashley and I took a short holiday to Thailand, where we stayed in Bangkok for a night and then traveled to Pattaya to visit my friend, Phil. From there, the three of us took a boat to the island of Koh Samet, a backpacker's paradise, where we basked in the sun for a few days and sipped iced-cold, Chang beer at thatched-roof beach bars.

Below is one of the many pancake stands set up on the beach. If you're planning to go to Koh Samet, try to make a few extra trips to the gym beforehand because you won't be able to resist indulging in one of the delicious varieties of pancakes offered! (My favorite was the banana, chocolate pancake, drizzled with sweetened condensed milk. yum!!!)

During a morning thunderstorm, Ash and I decided to pamper ourselves by having massages, manicures and pedicures on the balcony of our chalet (which added up to less than USD 15).

Looking ahead to Oxford Business Group

Thank you to the MindValley team for providing an enjoyable and stimulating working environment. After careful contemplation, I decided to end my traineeship early in order to pursue a job that would provide many more avenues through which I would be able to attain my career goals.

I'm now employed as an assistant country director to Malaysia with Oxford Business Group, a UK-based publication company. I'm happy with my decision, and am lucky to training with the most wonderful woman, Neslil.

I wish MindValley the best for the future!

In the photo above, Vishen, Adelle, and Hannu from MindValley smile after a satisfying meal at Black Canyon, one of our favorite Friday lunch spots.

Below, smiling faces of Fabrikus employees who share the office building with MindValley.

Below: Adelle and I after lunch. Adelle is the only other American I've met in Malaysia and was also my flatmate for three months while I worked at MindValley. I MISS YOU ADELLE! All the best to you and Sharath when you return to Atlanta in October! (Don't forget to buy some clear heels before you go back. . . .I heard they're on sale at Bangsar Shopping Center. . hahahaha)
